The gap junction protein 26 (Cx26), encoded by the GJB2 gene, plays a crucial role in the human body. Structurally, Cx26 is a transmembrane protein containing 226 amino acids and is located on the cell membrane. Functionally, it participates in intercellular signal transmission, maintains normal hearing function, and is also crucial for breastfeeding and inner ear balance. However, the specific mechanism of action of the GJB2 gene in signaling pathways remains to be further investigated. Additionally, variations in the GJB2 gene are closely associated with the degree of hearing loss, with different variant types potentially leading to varying degrees of hearing impairment. In summary, the GJB2 gene and its encoded protein play significant roles in maintaining hearing and intercellular signal transmission. Research on their structure and function is crucial for understanding the pathogenesis of diseases such as hearing loss and finding effective treatments.

IHC image of CSB-RA009452MA1HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human gastric cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-Mouse IgG labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.
Overlay Peak curve showing JK cells surface stained with CSB-RA009452MA1HU (red line) at 1:100. Then 10% normal goat serum to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by the antibody (1ug/1*106cells) for 45min at 4℃. The secondary antibody used was FITC-conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L) at 1/200 dilution for 35 min at 4°C. Isotype control antibody (green line) was mouse IgG1 (1µg/1*106cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10,002 events was performed.
