KLK11

Kallikrein‑related peptidase 11, also known as Hippostasin, PRSS20, TLSP, is a secreted serine protease mainly distributed in prostate and respiratory mucosa. It participates in semen liquefaction and modulates protein metabolism within local tissues.
Reduced KLK11 expression correlates with prognosis in laryngeal squamous carcinoma, breast cancer and gastric cancer, and abnormal levels are also detected in chronic ethmoid sinusitis, serving as auxiliary biomarker for tissue specimens. Drug development for KLK11 has not entered candidate‑discovery phase. Published researches are retrospective analyses of cells and clinical samples. No evaluable lead compounds, clinical trial projects or marketed targeted drugs are available.
