The protein associated with the gene LAT, known as Linker for Activation of T cells, serves as a critical transmembrane adaptor protein. Commonly abbreviated as LAT, this protein plays a pivotal role in T cell activation and signaling pathways. It functions by linking T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signals to downstream pathways, facilitating the transduction of signals and subsequent activation of T cells. LAT is integral to the LAT-PLC-γ1 interaction, which is crucial for Foxp3 expression and the development of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells. Dysregulation of LAT has been linked to autoimmune diseases, and mutations in the LAT gene can lead to immunodeficiencies and other immune-related disorders. In terms of drug development, LAT's role in T cell signaling makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases and cancer. Research into LAT's function continues to advance our understanding of immune regulation and opens avenues for novel therapeutic strategies.

IHC image of CSB-RA012767A191phHU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human tonsil tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with CSB-RA012767A191phHU at 1:100,counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).
