LRP4

LRP4, a member of the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) family and coded by a human gene, is intricately involved in the regulation of MuSK activation, acetylcholine receptor clustering, and the formation of neuromuscular junctions (NMJ). This protein is pivotal for the proper presynaptic development and the upkeep of synaptic terminals in the neuromuscular system. Its dysfunction is implicated in the pathogenesis of myasthenia gravis, offering novel insights into the study and treatment of this disease.
