MAP4K1

MAP4K1 is part of the Ste20-like kinase family. It is expressed in various immune cells, including T cells, B cells, and macrophages, with a significant presence in lymphatic tissues. This kinase plays a role in regulating cell survival, migration, apoptosis, and autophagy, and it influences the activation of JNK through the MAP3K-MAP2K signaling cascade. In immune responses, MAP4K1 modulates the signaling of T cell receptors and B cell receptors, and can inhibit T cell and B cell signaling by inducing the phosphorylation/ubiquitination of SLP-76 and BLNK. Its expression levels are associated with the occurrence and progression of autoimmune diseases and tumors, making MAP4K1 an important regulator in immune response and inflammation, and a potential target in tumor immunotherapy.
