NDNF

NDNF, full name neuroderived neurotrophic factor. It is a secreted neurotrophic protein expressed in the nervous system, regulating neuronal survival, differentiation and repair, maintaining neural function. NDNF deficiency causes neuronal damage and correlates with neurodegenerative diseases and brain injury. Recombinant NDNF preparations are under preclinical research for neurological disorders and nerve injury.
