RHOJ

The protein encoded by the RHOJ gene, known as RhoJ, is a member of the Rho family of small GTP-binding proteins. Commonly referred to as TCL, ARHJ, TC10B, and RASL7B, RhoJ plays a critical role in regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics, cell migration, and angiogenesis. Its activation is often triggered by vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and it localizes to focal adhesions in endothelial cells. RhoJ is involved in various signaling pathways, including those related to cell polarity, cell shape regulation, and endothelial cell migration. Its dysregulation has been associated with several diseases, such as glioblastoma, melanoma, and glioblastoma multiforme, and it represents a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment. Research into RhoJ's role in these diseases has led to the development of novel drug candidates aimed at inhibiting its activity.
