RNFT1, full name RING finger protein T1, also known as RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase RNFT1. It is a ubiquitin ligase regulating protein ubiquitination, cell cycle and apoptosis, maintaining intracellular protein homeostasis. Dysregulated RNFT1 causes ubiquitination disorders and cell cycle dysfunction, correlating with neurodegenerative diseases and cancers. RNFT1 inhibitors are under preclinical research for anti-tumor and neurological therapy.
