SBSN, full name small proline-rich protein-like 1, also known as SBSN protein. It is a secreted protein expressed in epithelial tissues, skin and tumor tissues, regulating cell adhesion, epithelial integrity and tumor microenvironment remodeling. Abnormal SBSN overexpression correlates with lung, breast and skin cancers, promoting tumor proliferation, metastasis and drug resistance. SBSN-targeted inhibitors are under preclinical anti-tumor research.
