TEAD3 encodes the TEA domain transcription factor 3, also known as ETF or TEF-5. As a core member of the TEAD family, it forms functional complexes with YAP/TAZ co-activators to regulate target gene transcription, critical for cell proliferation, differentiation, and organ size control. It is an essential component of the Hippo signaling pathway, where its activity is modulated by upstream Hippo kinases.
Aberrant TEAD3 activity links to cancers like breast and lung carcinoma, promoting tumor growth via dysregulated Hippo signaling. Preclinical studies explore small-molecule inhibitors targeting TEAD-YAP interactions—such as verteporfin derivatives—which show potential in suppressing oncogenic functions, though clinical trials remain in early stages.
Recombinant Human Transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-5 (TEAD3), partial (CSB-EP860344HUc7)
Validated Data
(Tris-Glycine gel) Discontinuous SDS-PAGE (reduced) with 5% enrichment gel and 15% separation gel.
TEAD3 Antibody (CSB-PA860344LA01HU)
Validated Data
IHC image of CSB-PA860344LA01HU diluted at 1:1000 and staining in paraffin-embedded human colon cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
