TRIB3

TRIB3, Tribbles homologue 3, is a pseudokinase expressed in a variety of cell types.TRIB3 is able to interact with a wide range of proteins and is involved in the regulation of cellular metabolism, stress response, inflammation, and the cell cycle. Its mechanism of action includes regulating cell survival and metabolism by binding to and affecting the activity of proteins such as Akt. In terms of signalling pathways, TRIB3 is closely related to the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signalling pathway, which is involved in the regulation of cell metabolism and survival by inhibiting the phosphorylation and activity of Akt. In a biological sense, TRIB3 may play an important role in the development of diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and neurological diseases. Studies have shown that TRIB3 expression is regulated by a variety of stress responses, such as nutrient deficiency, hypoxia, endoplasmic reticulum stress, etc., suggesting its role as a ‘bridge’ in cellular stress response.
