ZEB2

ZEB2, also known as Zinc Finger E-Box Binding Homeobox 2, is a critical protein involved in multiple biological processes. It's also commonly referred to as SIP1. ZEB2 functions as a transcription factor, binding to specific DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. It participates in the TGF - β and Wnt signaling pathways, crucial for cell growth, differentiation, and migration.
Dysregulation of ZEB2 is associated with several diseases, including Mowat - Wilson syndrome and various cancers. In terms of drug development, research is exploring agents that can modulate ZEB2 activity. Targeting ZEB2 may offer new therapeutic strategies for treating related disorders.
