CNPY3

CNPY3, or C-type natriuretic peptide receptor 3, is a protein expressed in a variety of tissues and has received widespread attention for its role in the cardiovascular system in particular.CNPY3, as a co-receptor of the natriuretic peptide family, is involved in the regulation of water electrolyte homeostasis and blood pressure in vivo. Its mechanism of action includes binding to C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) and activating the cGMP-PKG signalling pathway, leading to vasodilation and increased urinary sodium excretion.CNPY3 participates in signalling by interacting with the GC-A receptor, which affects the intracellular level of cGMP, and thus regulates cardiovascular function. Biologically, CNPY3 has an important role in maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis and promoting myocardial protection and angiogenesis.Abnormal function of CNPY3 is closely related to the development of cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, cardiac remodelling, and vascular diseases, and is a potential target for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
