CXCL4

CXCL4, a chemokine secreted by activated platelets, forms homotetramers with high affinity for heparin and is involved in platelet aggregation. It exhibits chemotactic properties for neutrophils and monocytes and inhibits hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and T-cell function. CXCL4 is upregulated in hepatic fibrosis, where it contributes to stellate cell proliferation, migration, and the recruitment of intrahepatic immune cells. Its expression in atherosclerotic lesions correlates with the severity of clinical symptoms, and in CXCL4-deficient mouse models, atherosclerotic lesions are reduced with less macrophage infiltration. These roles highlight CXCL4's significance in inflammatory responses and tumor progression, making it a key player in the pathogenesis of various diseases.

IHC image of CSB-PA017809LA01HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human glioma performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
