HEPACAM

HEPACAM, also known as hepatocyte cell adhesion molecule, is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein. It is sometimes referred to as tumor suppressor in astrocytes (TSLC1). Its mechanism involves promoting cell - cell adhesion and regulating cell growth and migration. It participates in the Hippo signaling pathway. Dysregulation of HEPACAM is associated with various cancers, such as glioblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma.
In drug development, efforts are being made to target HEPACAM - related pathways. Some pre - clinical studies are exploring small molecules that can modulate its function. Immunofluorescence staining of MCF-7 cells with CSB-PA010287LA01HU at 1:200, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
