KAT6A

KAT6A, lysine acetyltransferase 6A, alias MYST3, RBBP2, RUNXBP2 and so on. It is a histone acetyltransferase, a member of the HAT MYST family, encoded by its own gene in human cells.The mechanism of action of KAT6A is mainly to regulate the structure and function of chromatin by catalyzing the acetylation of specific amino acid residues, in particular histone H3K23Ac, thereby affecting gene transcription. This process involves a variety of biological processes, including the cell cycle, stem cell maintenance, development, and cell proliferation and differentiation.

KAT6A has a wide range of biological significance, and it is involved in the regulation of a variety of signaling pathways, such as Wnt/β-catenin, Hippo, and TGF-β, etc. These signaling pathways play an important role in the processes of cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis.
