KLK10

Kallikrein‑related peptidase 10, also known as NES1, PRSSL1, is a secreted serine protease expressed in epithelial tissues such as skin, esophagus and cervix. It maintains epithelial homeostasis and restrains proliferative activity of tumor cells.
Down‑regulated KLK10 is found in lung adenocarcinoma, breast cancer and prostate cancer, and its level shifts in Alzheimer’s disease samples, offering auxiliary diagnostic reference for tissue and serum specimens. Drug development for KLK10 remains pre‑clinical. Current studies focus on cellular functional verification. No in‑vivo‑ready drug candidates are generated, no clinical trial programs are initiated and no corresponding marketed therapeutics are available.
