LGI4 encodes the leucine-rich repeat and LGI domain-containing protein 4, a member of the LGI family with no widely recognized aliases. It mediates cell-cell interactions and signal transduction via its conserved domains, interacting with ADAM metalloproteases to regulate axon guidance and peripheral nerve myelination.
Dysregulation of LGI4 is linked to peripheral neuropathies like Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease-like phenotypes, resulting from impaired nerve fiber development. Current research focuses on its role in Schwann cell function; no targeted drugs are in clinical trials, but preclinical studies explore its potential for nerve regeneration therapies.
Recombinant Human Leucine-rich repeat LGI family member 4 (LGI4) (CSB-EP818678HU)
Validated Data
(Tris-Glycine gel) Discontinuous SDS-PAGE (reduced) with 5% enrichment gel and 15% separation gel.
LGI4 Antibody (CSB-PA818678LA01HU)
Validated Data
IHC image of CSB-PA818678LA01HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human lung cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
