OSGEP

OSGEP, also known as O-sialoglycoprotein endopeptidase, is a highly conserved protein widely expressed in human tissues. It participates in glycoprotein processing and degradation, helping maintain intracellular protein homeostasis and supporting normal cell metabolism and growth.
Dysregulation of OSGEP is linked to Galloway–Mowat syndrome and certain cancers, serving as a potential diagnostic marker. Current research focuses on its functional roles and targeted therapies. Small-molecule regulators and diagnostic assays are under preclinical evaluation, offering new strategies for related disease treatment.
