PLXNB2

PLXNB2, also referred to as nerve plexus protein B2, is a transmembrane receptor that contributes to axonal guidance and cell migration. It interacts with angiopoietin to activate the RHOA signaling pathway, influencing cytoskeletal changes and cell movement. This receptor is crucial for nervous system development and is implicated in tumorigenesis and cell behavior. Overexpression of PLXNB2 in acute myeloid leukemia is associated with adverse outcomes, marking it as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Additionally, increased PLXNB2 levels in hepatocytes can facilitate liver metastasis in several types of cancer.
