SEC24B encodes the Protein Transport Protein Sec24B, also known as SEC24-related Protein B. It is a component of the COPII - coated vesicles which play a crucial role in the export of newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum. It functions by recognizing and packaging specific cargo proteins into vesicles. SEC24B is involved in the secretory pathway.
Mutations in SEC24B are associated with cranio-lenticulo-sutural dysplasia (CLSD). Regarding drug development, as of now, there are no targeted drugs on the market for SEC24B - related disorders. However, research is ongoing to understand its molecular mechanisms better for potential therapeutic interventions.
The following SEC24B reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
