TRAIP

TRAIP (TRAF-interacting protein), also known as TRIP or RNF206, is an E3 ubiquitin ligase. It plays key roles in DNA damage response (DDR) pathways, mediating homologous recombination repair and replication fork stabilization by ubiquitinating substrates like RPA and RAD51.
Dysregulated TRAIP expression or mutations link to cancers (e.g., breast, ovarian) due to impaired DNA repair, and some developmental disorders. Preclinical research is exploring TRAIP inhibitors to sensitize tumor cells to DNA-damaging chemotherapies, offering a potential therapeutic direction.
