ZC3H12A

The gene ZC3H12A encodes a protein known as ZC3H12A zinc finger CCCH-type containing 12A, also referred to as ZC3H12A. This protein functions as a novel IL-6 regulator in fibroblast-like synovial cells, potentially influencing the progression of rheumatoid arthritis. Mechanistically, ZC3H12A interacts with various signaling pathways, including those involved in inflammation and immune response. In terms of disease association, its dysregulation is linked to inflammatory conditions. As for drug development, research is ongoing to identify small molecules that can modulate ZC3H12A activity for therapeutic purposes.
