ZP4, also known as zona pellucida glycoprotein 4, is a protein primarily found in the zona pellucida of mammalian eggs, playing a crucial role in fertilization. It is a glycoprotein with a conserved ZP domain and is hypothesized to be involved in the release of mature protein into the zona pellucida matrix. ZP4 is also associated with signaling pathways related to fertilization and meiosis. Mutations in ZP4 have been linked to female infertility and abnormal zona pellucida, suggesting its importance in reproductive processes. Research into ZP4 has implications for potential drug development targeting fertility issues and reproductive disorders.
ZP4 Antibody (CSB-PA621518LA01HU)
Validated Data
IHC image of CSB-PA621518LA01HU diluted at 1:300 and staining in paraffin-embedded human ovarian tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
The following ZP4 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
