CD163 is a cysteine-rich scavenger receptor type B encoded by the CD163 gene, which is primarily expressed in monocytes, macrophages, and macrophage cell lines. Its structure comprises an extracellular domain consisting of 1048 amino acid residues, a transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic tail. Although CD163 does not directly trigger typical signaling cascades like some receptors, it influences intracellular signaling by interacting with other molecules. As a scavenger receptor for hemoglobin-haptoglobin complexes, CD163 participates in the clearance of hemoglobin and iron recycling. Furthermore, it plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, such as inhibiting the production of inflammatory factors and promoting the expression of anti-inflammatory factors, thereby exerting a significant impact in inflammatory diseases and tumors.

IHC image of CSB-RA004935A0HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human lymph node tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4℃ overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
