CLEC2D

CLEC2D, also known as C-type lectin domain family 2 member D, is a protein-coding gene. It is also commonly referred to as MICL. The protein plays a crucial role in the immune system. It functions as an inhibitory receptor, regulating immune cell activation by suppressing signals through its immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM).
CLEC2D is involved in the NF-κB signaling pathway. Abnormalities in CLEC2D are associated with autoimmune diseases. In drug development, research is exploring its potential as a target for immunomodulatory therapies, aiming to treat related immune - mediated disorders.
