INSR

INSR corresponds to the Insulin Receptor protein. It is also commonly known as CD220. This protein plays a crucial role in regulating glucose metabolism. Upon binding with insulin, it activates tyrosine kinase activity, triggering a cascade of phosphorylation events. This process is involved in the PI3K - AKT and MAPK signaling pathways.
Dysfunction of INSR is associated with various diseases such as type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. In drug development, efforts are focused on designing agonists or modulators to enhance insulin - receptor function, aiming to improve glycemic control and treat associated metabolic disorders.

Validated Data

Immunofluorescence staining of MCF7 Cells with CSB-RA155156A0HU at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeated by 0.2% TritonX-100, and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4℃. Nuclear DNA was labeled in blue with DAPI. The secondary antibody was FITC-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).
