KCNA3

KCNA3, potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily A member 3, alias HLK3, HPCN3, Kv1.3, MK3, etc.. It is a voltage-gated potassium channel encoded by the KCNA3 gene in the human body, which mainly functions in T cells, neuronal cells and muscle cells.The mechanism of action of KCNA3 is to form a potassium ion-selective channel by responding to changes in the cellular membrane potential, allowing the passage of potassium ions according to their electrochemical gradient, and thus regulating the cellular excitability and participating in the process of repolarization of the action potential.KCNA3 The gene is located in the 1p13.3 region of chromosome 1, and its encoded protein contains six transmembrane regions and has a shaker-type repeat sequence.
