NR4A2

NR4A2, full name nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 2, also known as NURR1. It is a nuclear receptor transcription factor regulating neural differentiation, dopaminergic neuron maintenance, immunity and lipid metabolism. NR4A2 dysfunction correlates with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's disease. Its abnormal overexpression promotes tumor proliferation and drug resistance in multiple cancers. NR4A2 modulators are under preclinical research for neurological and anti-tumor therapy.
