PTMA

PTMA, full name prothymosin alpha, also known as thymosin alpha 1 precursor. It is a small protein regulating immune activation, cell proliferation, apoptosis and inflammatory balance, maintaining immune homeostasis. Abnormal PTMA overexpression promotes tumor proliferation and immune escape in multiple cancers. PTMA inhibitors are under preclinical research for anti-tumor therapy.
