AOAH

AOAH encodes arylacetamide deacetylase, also known as acylamidase 1, a serine hydrolase that catalyzes the deacetylation of N-acylarylamines and lipid-derived substrates. It modulates lipid metabolism and inflammatory responses by regulating bioactive lipid mediators, with substrates including endocannabinoids and platelet-activating factor.
AOAH is involved in toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathways, where it degrades bacterial lipopolysaccharides to dampen excessive immune activation. Dysregulation is linked to inflammatory disorders, such as sepsis and inflammatory bowel disease. Preclinical studies explore AOAH inhibitors as potential anti-inflammatory agents, though clinical development remains in early stages.

IHC image of CSB-PA001853LA01HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human pancreatic cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit polymer IgG labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB. Secondary antibody only control: uses 1% BSA instead of primary antibody
