CCL12, or C-C motif chemokine ligand 12, alias MCP-5, SCYA12. CCL12 is encoded by the human CCL12 gene, which is located on chromosome 17. CCL12 is a chemokine that attracts eosinophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes, but not neutrophils. It signals through binding to the CCR2 chemokine receptor, is involved in allergic inflammation and host responses to pathogens, and may play a key role in the early stages of allergic lung inflammation.
CCL12 plays a role in physiological processes such as angiogenesis, inflammatory responses, and monocyte chemotaxis, and its aberrant expression has been associated with a variety of diseases, including Henoch-Schoenlein purpura , aggressive periodontitis, autoimmune diseases, digestive cancers and tuberculosis.
The following CCL12 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
