DLL4

DLL4, short for Delta-like ligand 4, is a transmembrane protein. It is also known as hDLL4. DLL4 functions as a ligand for Notch receptors. The DLL4-Notch signaling pathway plays a crucial role in angiogenesis, regulating the formation of new blood vessels. Dysregulation of DLL4 has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and eye disorders.
In drug development, targeting the DLL4-Notch pathway has emerged as a promising strategy. Several drug candidates are being investigated in pre - clinical and clinical trials. These drugs aim to inhibit the DLL4-Notch signaling to suppress tumor angiogenesis and potentially improve patient outcomes.
