EDIL3

EDIL3 encodes the EGF-like repeats and discoidin I-like domains 3 protein, also known as Del-1. This protein contains epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats and discoidin I-like domains. It plays a role in regulating angiogenesis and inflammation. The protein promotes angiogenesis by interacting with integrin receptors, modulating the activity of endothelial cells. It is also involved in the NF-κB signaling pathway.
Abnormal expression of EDIL3 has been associated with various diseases, including cancer, where it may promote tumor angiogenesis and metastasis. In cardiovascular diseases, it can influence vascular remodeling. Currently, research is underway to develop drugs targeting EDIL3, aiming to provide new therapeutic options for related diseases.
