GNAQ

GNAQ, full name G protein subunit alpha Q, also known as GαQ. It is a key component of G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway, mediating extracellular signals and regulating cell proliferation, differentiation and metabolism. GNAQ mutations cause excessive signal activation, promoting abnormal cell proliferation and correlating with uveal melanoma and other cancers. GNAQ inhibitors are under preclinical and early clinical research for anti-tumor and hereditary disease therapy.
