GOLM1

GOLM1, also known as golgi membrane protein 1, is a type II transmembrane protein involved in protein sorting and modification within the Golgi apparatus. It is commonly referred to as GP73, HEL46, GOLPH2, C9orf155, PSEC0257, and bA379P1.3. GOLM1 functions by facilitating the transport of protein cargo through the Golgi apparatus, playing a crucial role in protein biosynthesis and transport. It is associated with various signaling pathways, including the MAPK and insulin signaling pathways, and has been implicated in diseases such as COVID-19, liver cancer, and prostate cancer.
