Phospholipid Transfer Protein (PLTP), also referred to as lipid transfer protein, mediates phospholipid exchange between lipoproteins and cell membranes. It remodels high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles, facilitating cholesterol efflux from peripheral cells and supporting reverse cholesterol transport (RCT), a critical pathway for lipid homeostasis.
PLTP interacts with lipid metabolism pathways like HDL maturation and cholesterol trafficking. Its dysregulation correlates with atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, and metabolic syndrome. Preclinical research is investigating PLTP inhibitors to optimize lipid profiles, targeting enhanced HDL function to reduce cardiovascular risk, though no such agents have advanced to clinical trials.
Recombinant Human Phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP) (CSB-YP018212HU(F2))
Validated Data
(Tris-Glycine gel) Discontinuous SDS-PAGE (reduced) with 5% enrichment gel and 15% separation gel.
PLTP Antibody (CSB-PA018212EA01HU)
Validated Data
IHC image of CSB-PA018212EA01HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human testis tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
