SIGLEC8

SIGLEC8, also known as sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 8, is a cell surface protein. It is also commonly referred to as CD329. This protein functions by binding sialic acid residues on cell - surface glycoproteins. It is involved in the regulation of eosinophil and mast cell function through inhibitory signaling pathways, which help maintain immune homeostasis.
SIGLEC8 is associated with various allergic and inflammatory diseases, such as asthma. In drug development, targeting SIGLEC8 shows potential as a treatment strategy. Some monoclonal antibodies are being explored to modulate its activity, aiming to alleviate the symptoms and pathological conditions related to these diseases.

Validated Data

IHC image of CSB-RA878931MA1HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-human polymer IgG labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.
