LAMP1

LAMP1, also known as lysosomal associated membrane protein 1, is a type I transmembrane protein expressed in various normal tissue cell types. It plays a crucial role in antigen presentation and immune cell activation. LAMP1 is involved in the lysosomal pathway, where it interacts with other proteins to regulate lysosomal function. Dysregulation of LAMP1 has been linked to several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. In drug development, targeting LAMP1 has shown potential for therapeutic interventions, with ongoing research exploring its role in novel therapeutic strategies.
