MPL, Megakaryoproliferative Leukemia Virus Receptor, alias Myeloproliferative Leukemia Virus Receptor, CD110, etc. MPL is a cell surface receptor expressed on the surface of hematopoietic stem cells, early myeloid and lymphoid precursor cells, endothelial cells, and certain tumor cells. It is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and is encoded by its own gene in human cells.The mechanism of action of MPL mainly involves binding to a variety of ligands, such as TPO (thrombopoietin), ELN (endothelial leukemia inhibitory factor), etc., and the binding of these ligands can activate MPL, which can trigger the downstream signaling pathways, such as JAK2/STAT, MAPK and other signaling pathways, to promote the proliferation and differentiation of macrophages, and affect the platelet cell proliferation and differentiation.
