The recombinant Rat Ngf is a yeast-expressed (122-241aa) protein with N-terminal 6xHis tag. The purity is 90%+ measured by SDS-PAGE. The highly developed genetic system, ease of use, reduced time input, and costs have made Pichia Pastoris an attractive organism for the expression and production of recombinant proteins. So we choose the Yeast system to express this recombinant Ngf protein, which is able to carry specifically designed plasmids, and the plasmid used consists of restriction sites that can be used to insert the gene sequence of interest. Transformation of yeasts with the plasmid produces the desired protein and can be appropriately scaled up.
Ngf is a neurotrophin that regulates the development and survival of neurons, particularly sympathetic and sensory neurons that transmit pain, temperature, and touch sensations. It also functions as an ovulation-inducing factor (OIF), which is found in the seminal plasma (SP) of some reflex ovulating species such as camelids or rabbits. Ngf is expressed in spermatogenic cells and has testosterone-downregulated low-affinity receptors on Sertoli cells implying a paracrine role in the modulation of spermatogenesis. There are currently no reviews for this product.
