BAFF (B-cell activating factor) is a cytokine produced by myeloid cells, belonging to the tumor necrosis factor family, which plays a crucial role in the survival, proliferation, antigen presentation, and class switch recombination of B cells. By binding to three receptors (TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, TNFRSF13C/BAFFR), it activates multiple signaling pathways, including NF-κB, MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase), and PI3K/AKT, among others. These signaling pathways play significant roles in the biological processes of B cells and immune regulation. However, excessive production and activation of BAFF may also lead to the development of autoimmune diseases. Therefore, an in-depth study of the structural function of BAFF and the signaling pathways it participates in is of great significance for understanding its role in the immune system and developing treatment methods for related diseases.
Validated Data
(Tris-Glycine gel) Discontinuous SDS-PAGE (reduced) with 5% enrichment gel and 15% separation gel.
Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized TNFSF13B at 10 μg/ml can bind human BCMA (CSB-MP023974HU1), the EC50 of human TNFSF13B protein is 221.3-298.6 ng/ml.
Human TNFSF13B protein Fc tag (CSB-MP897523HU1) captured on COOH chip can bind Human BCMA protein Fc tag (CSB-MP023974HU1) with an affinity constant of 39 nM as detected by LSPR Assay.
Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized TNFSF13B at 2 μg/ml can bind TNFRSF13C(CSB-MP853495HU1), the EC50 is 9.943-15.72 ng/ml.
The purity of TNFSF13B was greater than 90% as determined by SEC-HPLC
