Growth Differentiation Factor 10 (GDF10), also known as BMP3b, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. It exerts biological effects by binding to type I and II serine/threonine kinase receptors, activating the Smad-dependent signaling pathway to regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, particularly in bone development and homeostasis.
Abnormal GDF10 expression links to bone metabolic disorders like osteoporosis and cancers such as lung and breast cancer, where it may act as a tumor suppressor or promoter. Current research explores targeting its signaling for bone regeneration and cancer therapy, though no clinical drugs are approved yet, with preclinical studies showing promising potential.

IHC image of CSB-PA009343LA01HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human prostate tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
