IL31

IL-31 is a cytokine belonging to the glycoprotein 130 (gp130)/IL-6 family of cytokines, possessing a unique four-helix bundle structure. By binding to a heterodimeric complex composed of IL-31 receptor alpha (IL-31RA) and oncostatin M receptor (OSMR), it activates signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT, JAK/STAT, and MAPK, playing a crucial role in inflammation and immune responses. IL-31 is primarily produced by immune cells like Th2 cells and mast cells, and participates in the pathogenesis of diseases such as atopic dermatitis and asthma.
