CLDN3

CLDN3 (Claudin-3) is a tight junction protein that is involved in cell adhesion and signaling. It is mainly expressed in epithelial tissues and is involved in regulating cell polarity, permeability, and intercellular communication. In addition, CLDN3 is overexpressed in many cancers, including ovarian cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, and prostate cancer. Many studies have suggested that CLDN3 may be a potential target for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Several treatment strategies targeting CLDN3, such as anti-CLDN3 monoclonal antibodies, siRNA, and small molecule compounds, have been developed and validated in clinical trials. Therefore, the study and development of CLDN3 is of great clinical significance and has important potential value for cancer therapy and prevention.
