CLDN4 Research Reagents

Claudin 4( CLDN4) is a tight junction protein, which is a member of Claudin family. Claudin protein is composed of four transmembrane domains, the N-terminal and C-terminal are located inside the cell, and there are two loops of different lengths outside the cell membrane, which can contact with other loops of the same type to form tight junctions between cells. Moreover,CLDN4 has a highly conservative structure. Nematode is very similar to human beings. When Claudin protein changes, it will affect the permeability of cells and further cause various diseases. Studies have reported that CLDN4 is up-regulated in ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, intestinal cancer and other tumors, and as an oncogene, it mediates the occurrence of cancer.
