Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Cleaves peptide bonds on the C-terminal side of prolyl residues within peptides that are up to approximately 30 amino acids long.
Gene References into Functions
  1. PREP regulates the function of dopamine transporter, possibly by controlling the phosphorylation and transport of dopamine transporter into the striatum or synaptic membrane. PMID: 27966077
  2. Taken together, these data suggest that PREP can enhance alpha-synuclein toxicity in vivo. PMID: 29367610
  3. involved in trophoblast stem cell differentiation in placenta PMID: 28487025
  4. These findings might be explained as possible alteration in brain plasticity caused by PREP deficiency, which in turn affect behaviour and brain development PMID: 26996375
  5. Lung ischemia-reperfusion injury causes a dysregulation of circulating Ang 2 levels and plasma PREP activity, although no direct link between both phenomena could be shown. PMID: 27437782
  6. TLR4 activation releases prolyl endopeptidase containing exosomes from airway epithelial cells. PMID: 26222144
  7. the expression of prolyl endopeptidase could be necessary for a correct reproductive function PMID: 26332268
  8. As PREP inhibition also enhances autophagic clearance of aSyn, PREP inhibitors may reduce accumulation of aSyn inclusions via a dual mechanism and are thus a novel therapeutic candidate for synucleinopathies. PMID: 25555914
  9. lncPrep+96kb could play a role in the POP gene activation in the granulosa cell. PMID: 24369296
  10. PREP knockdown mice (Prep(gt/gt)) exhibited glucose intolerance, decreased fasting insulin, increased fasting glucagon levels, and reduced glucose-induced insulin secretion compared with wild-type controls. PMID: 25071172
  11. The study reveals a role for prolyl endopeptidase in mediating hippocampal plasticity and spatial memory formation. PMID: 22767632
  12. The POP promoter was sufficient for the appropriate localization in the placenta if it was not subject to position effect. PMID: 23632239
  13. the cytoplasmic and membrane-associated POP have distinct roles in different types of placental cells. PMID: 21544597
  14. Cigarette smoke-induced lung emphysema is associated with prolyl endopeptidase, an enzyme involved in collagen breakdown. PMID: 21112944
  15. in vitro reporter analysis indicated that CGI-2 enhanced POP promoter activity and its effect was significantly reduced by DNA methylation PMID: 20600704
  16. Murine T cells expressing high activity of prolyl endopeptidase are susceptible to activation-induced cell death. PMID: 11852073
  17. Report distribution of prolyl oligopeptidase in the mouse whole-body sections and peripheral tissues. PMID: 18618130
  18. peptidase activity is not required for PO function in neurons and suggest that PO instead acts by binding to cytosolic proteins that control growth cone and synaptic function. PMID: 19332125
