Target Details This gene encodes a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. This cytokine is mainly secreted by macrophages. It can bind to, and thus functions through its receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. This cytokine is involved in the regulation of a wide spectrum of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. This cytokine has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer. Knockout studies in mice also suggested the neuroprotective function of this cytokine.

To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat TNF-α in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Seeking for ELISA kits of TNF a .I am working on SD Rats and project related to High Fat Diet induced Metabolic complications.

We usually use this kit to test serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates.If you want to test bronchoalveolar lavage fluid,we suggest you do pre-testing first.If the content of your sample falls in the detection range,it can usually be detected out.
