Description

The S1 polyclonal antibody is generated using a recombinant infectious bronchitis virus S1 protein segment (encompassing amino acids 231-539) as the immunogen. This segment is administered to a rabbit to initiate an antibody response. Serum collected from the rabbit contains the resulting S1 polyclonal antibodies. These antibodies are purified via affinity chromatography, isolating them based on their specific binding to the S1 protein. Functionality assessments, including ELISA and WB assays, confirm the suitability of the S1 antibody for detecting infectious bronchitis virus S1 protein.

The infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) S1 protein, a constituent of the spike glycoprotein, houses virus-neutralizing epitopes and serotype-specific sequences. Its essential roles encompass host cell attachment and the stimulation of neutralizing antibody production.
