Assay Principle quantitative
Measurement Sandwich
Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat DA in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.
  Sample Serum(n=4)
1:5 Average % 86
Range % 84-96
1:10 Average % 95

Recovery
The recovery of rat DA spiked to levels throughout the range of the assay in various matrices was evaluated. Samples were diluted prior to assay as directed in the Sample Preparation section.

Q&A and Customer Reviews

Customer Reviews
  • Sample type: Serum
    Sample species: Rat
Review: The DA content was evaluated using the corresponding ELISA kit. A similar pattern was observed in the DA striatal content as presented in panel I, where 6-OHDA leveled it off, while the co-administration of 6-OHDA with A-779 depleted it markedly.
    PMID: 29428223
  • Sample type: Cell-free supernatants
    Sample species: Rat
Review: It was found that 2 hours after the intravenous injection of PC8 a significant increase of melatonin and serotonin (5-HT) was observed in the brain, whereas injection of PITScomposition (PC8+Lip+Xe) decreased the levels of serotonin and dopamine, although there was a considerable rise in the level of melatonin in both cases
    PMID: 30658098
  • Sample type: Supernatants
    Sample species: Rat
Review: The supernatant was used to measure concentrations of GFAP, DA, TH, MANF, NGF, and CDNF using commercially available ELISA assays following the manufacturer’s instructions. PEx prevents the loss of DA in 6-OHDA challenged rats greater than MIEx (F (5, 29) = 22.03, p< 0.0001). *significant difference between HC and PC. **significant difference between PEx and PC. ***significant difference between PEx and MIEx (P<0.0001).
    PMID: 31100327
  • Sample type: Supernatant of rats’ brains
    Sample species: Rat
Review: Effects of L-dopa, sitagliptin, or liraglutide alone or combined with L-dopa on striatal dopamine content of rotenone-induced Parkinsonism in rats. L-dopa/carbidopa (50/25 mg/kg, i.p.), sitagliptin (30 mg/kg, p.o.), or liraglutide (50 μg/kg, s.c.) was administered for 16 days alone or in combination to rats treated with 10 daily doses of rotenone (3 mg/kg/day, s.c.)
    PMID: 30673988
  • Sample type: Brain tissue samples
    Sample species: Rat
Review: Norepinephrine (NE), serotonin (5-HT), and dopamine (DA) levels in the hypothalamus, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex were measured in brain tissue samples of recommended volume using commercially available enzyme immunoassay kits specifc for each compound as previously described. DA levels (ng/g tissue) in the hippocampus of stress (n=6, outlier number=2) and control ofspring (n=6, outlier number=2). h DA levels (ng/g tissue) in the hypothalamus of stress (n=6, outlier number=2) and control ofspring (n=6, outlier number=2). i DA levels (ng/g tissue) in the prefrontal cortex of stress (n=5, outlier number=3) and control ofspring (n=5, outlier number=3). Control ofspring: ofspring of control group (black); Stress ofspring: ofspring of maternal rats subject to SDS stimulation (grey); 5-HT: serotonin; NE: norepinephrine; DA: dopamine; *p<0.05
    PMID: 30326843
  • Sample type: Supernatant of brain tissues (100 µl)
    Sample species: Rat
Review: Effect of IDPU treatment on A) Dopamine B) Glutamate C) Calcium D) Nitrite.Values are expressed as mean ± SEM (n = 6). Statistical analysis by one way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post hoc multiple comparison tests. ### P ≤ 0.001, versus sham group, ***P ≤ 0.001 *P ≤ 0.05 indicates versus 6-OHDA (10 µg) lesioned group.
